Americorps is a national program where workers receive a living stipend, benefits, and an education stipend (depending on the length of service and hours worked). Chronicle of Philanthropy Job Board Non-profit job seekers can browse jobs by position (such as executive, fundraising, or program), field (such as education, environment, or social services), or location. But the Chronicle of Philanthropy offers much more than just a job listing; there is plenty of information on non-profit careers, from articles on the job market to “A Day in the Life” stories. Job seekers at this free job board must first pick a geographic location (city, state, or foreign country), then select “nonprofit sector” under the jobs column. Depending on the location, job seekers can expect to find anywhere from a handful of jobs a month to upwards of a dozen a day. Many of these jobs are national organizations recruiting for political campaigns, but local non-profits also regularly post job openings on Craigslist. Lots of options for entry-level non-profit jobs. These job listings include opportunities not only at non-profits across the United States, but also at for-profit companies with a green attitude.
